Roberts Hall Unforgettable Evening: Margo Anderson's Tribute to Patsy Cline and a Journey of Faith

LYNN HAVEN, FL - Over 130 people crowded into the top floor of Roberts Hall on Saturday night of, October 28th, 2023, to hear Lynn Haven former mayor, Margo Anderson, perform A Tribute to Patsy Cline. Margo warmed up the crowd with some jokes and then opened with Patsy Cline’s song, Won’t You Come Home, Bill Bailey. The show lasted over two hours with a brief intermission and several costume changes. Margo’s outstanding performance would have made Patsy Cline very proud.

Tickets were printed and sold by Victoria Cook and Judy Tinder. This event raised over $2,500 dollars for the renovation fund of Roberts Hall.

The audience was very welcoming, and Margo shared some personal thoughts with the Lynn Haven audience following the show. Margo expressed how being indicted for what she knew she was not guilty of was a very dark time for her. She prayed constantly and wrote down her thoughts of what happened in 492 pages of who did what to who in Lynn haven. She believed when she came through it, she would be able to tell her truth, and her truth would set her free. She thought she would write a book so anyone who wanted to, could read what happened in Lynn Haven. Margo felt that the Lord told her it wasn’t time for her truth. It was time for his truth. Margo said, “the truth the Lord wanted me to tell is that if you put your faith in Jesus, he will see you through any dark times in your life.” Margo shared that she is serving 100 community service hours with Arc of the Bay and has so far raised over 10,000 dollars for various organizations.

Margo closed the show as Margo, not Patsy Cline, with the song El Shaddai. Two other truths obvious that night was that Margo still has an amazing voice, and there are many people in Lynn Haven who still love her.
