Panama City Police Investigate Death on Cherry Street

PANAMA CITY, FL - At approximately 7pm, on December 19, 2024, the Panama City Police Department responded to the 100 block of Cherry St in reference to a welfare
check. Upon arrival, they found Shawn Kirkham, 40, deceased inside his residence. An autopsy was conducted, and Kirkham’s death appears to be from complications of several known health issues. Detectives are still investigating leads and have interviewed several individuals in connection with the incident.

There is no ongoing threat to the community. Additional information will be released as the investigation continues.
