Water main break at 14th St. and Florida Ave.
PAMAMA CITY, FL - We have been notified of a 12-inch water main break at 14th St. and Florida Ave. this morning, causing a loss of water pressure. Our Public Works team is currently working to fix the break and provide us with better details of the area affected by it.
The water main impacted has many valves that will need to be turned off to isolate the break and make the repair. The valve work will likely take the remainder of the morning hours, with the repair coming afterward. If all goes without issue, our teams expect to have this issue fixed by the end of the day.
Some residences and businesses may have their water turned off while this work is ongoing. Once it is restored, there will be a precautionary boil water notice, which will remain in effect until the problem has been corrected and a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused and truly appreciate our citizens' patience as our teams work diligently to resolve the issue.
