BAY COUNTY, FL – Bay County Coastal welcomes our new writing and editing intern Dylan Loeblein, a student of English originally from Jacksonville, FL. Now pursuing a degree in Editing, Writing, and Media from Florida State University, Dylan shows great potential for our team.
Dylan’s interest in writing began when he was very young. In his youth, he would journal, come up with stories, and find just about any reason to write. In school, he enjoyed writing assignments thoroughly, particularly those with a historical subject.
“What I enjoy most about writing is storytelling,” Dylan elaborated. “History is great for that. You are given real information, and you craft a narrative interesting enough for someone to keep reading, all while being accurate and consistent.”
This passion for creative, accurate writing is part of what makes Dylan such a promising member of the team. His drive and skill have been honed through his academic pursuits, which have given him valuable experience in both writing and editing.
As an intern, Dylan will learn about the different aspects of newspaper publishing, including writing articles, marketing, graphic design, and distribution. These are skills he seeks to gain and carry with him as he pursues a career in journalism.
“I believe working with Bay County Coastal is going to be a very special opportunity,” Dylan said. “I am excited to see what I can learn from it, and also to work with others in my desired field.”
Bay County Coastal looks forward to working with Dylan and bringing his storytelling skills to the forefront.
A healthy Bay County requires great community news.
