Fentanyl Seized From Criminal Illegal Alien
PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL - Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford announced the arrest of Luchen Jerome Daley, age 32, of Fernwood Street, Panama City Beach, on charges related to fentanyl trafficking.
Daley was the subject of a narcotics investigation by the Special Investigations Division (SID) of the BCSO. On February 7, 2025, SID investigators, with the assistance of Criminal Investigations (CID) investigators, executed a search warrant at Daley’s residence. Daley had a criminal history in Bay County dating back to 2023.
When law enforcement arrived, Daley attempted to flee on foot but was swiftly apprehended by investigators. A subsequent search of the residence resulted in the discovery of approximately 566.2 grams (1 pound and 4 ounces) of fentanyl in both pressed pill and powder form. Investigators also determined Daley, a Jamaican national, was in the country illegally, having overstayed his visa.
Daley has been charged with Trafficking in Fentanyl (more than 28 grams), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Resisting an Officer Without Violence. He is currently incarcerated at the Bay County Jail, and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has placed a detainer on him.
