Family Seeking Information About Dog Attack

PANAMA CITY, FL - (Feb 11, 2025) Panama City attorney, Zachary Taylor, has been retained by the family of a man who was attacked by a dog last week in Panama City Beach. 49-year-old Michael Fabjon, Jr. as died as a result of his injuries from tis attack. The dog involved was a pit bull or mix thereof and has been euthanized by local animal control authorities.
"On behalf of a grieving family, we are tasked with seeking answers and some form of justice for this senseless and preventable loss of life." Taylor states that Florida law is very clear: "a dog owner is strictly liable for injuries and damages caused by their dog. Fabjon had injuries "...to his upper torso, body and chest areas."
The family wants to thank the good Samaritans that were on the scene as well as local first responders and law enforcement officials who assisted. Taylor says the family will cooperate with any subsequent criminal investigation against the dog owner(s) and will be seeking civil damages in what is now a wrongful death claim.
