Bay County To Hold Public Meeting About Philip Griffitts Sr. Parkway March 6

PANAMA CITY, FL – From 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. March 6, Bay County will hold a public meeting concerning Phase 3 of the Philip Griffitts Sr. Parkway at Grace Episcopal Church, 9101 Panama City Beach Parkway, Panama City Beach. This meeting will offer new information, provide an opportunity to learn about the project, and allow members of the public to share their views. There will be maps, drawings, and other information on display. Bay County representatives and project team members will be available to explain proposed improvements, answer questions, and receive comments.
Bay County is conducting a Project Development and Environment (PD&E) Study and preparing design plans for the third phase of the Philip Griffitts Sr. Parkway from Clara Avenue east to Chip Seal Parkway. The total distance of this study is approximately 5.1 miles.
The new Philip Griffitts Sr. Parkway Phase III is intended to improve regional connectivity in the area and relieve some of the congestion on U.S. 98 (Panama City Beach Parkway) while also improving safety outcomes. The PD&E Study will identify and assess impacts of a new roadway corridor connecting Clara Avenue to Chip Seal Parkway on the social, economic, cultural, natural, and physical environment in this area of Bay County. Preliminary design activities will be completed concurrently with the PD&E Study to more efficiently move the project forward.
A healthy Bay County requires great community news.
