PANAMA CITY, FL - For Jordan Marking, storytelling isn’t just a profession—it’s a lifelong calling. As the owner of ThreePartFilms, he has spent years crafting visual experiences that go beyond mere footage, turning moments into memories that truly resonate. But his journey into film and television production didn’t start in a Hollywood studio or a prestigious film school—it began in a church balcony when he was just eleven years old. 

Jordan’s roots run deep in Bay County. Though his father’s military service meant moving frequently, Bay County always felt like home. When his father retired from the Air Force, the family briefly moved to upstate New York. However, after enduring one brutal winter, they packed up and returned to their “second home” on the Florida coast. It was here that Jordan’s passion for film first took hold. 

“I was sitting in church, probably not paying much attention,” Jordan recalls with a chuckle. “We were near the camera operator, and he turned around and asked if I wanted to give it a try. I said, ‘I guess,’ and that was it. From that moment on, I was hooked.” 

He dove headfirst into the craft, working every church service, handling camera operations, boom mics, editing—whatever he could get his hands on. By the age of fourteen, he had already landed his first job at the local Fox station, eventually working for Comcast while pursuing his education at the University of West Florida. 

But perhaps the most remarkable part of Jordan’s story isn’t just his professional success— it’s his personal journey. He married his childhood sweetheart, a love story that began when they were just six years old and rekindled in 2015. Through every step of his career, faith and family have remained at the heart of everything he does. 

Under Jordan’s leadership, ThreePartFilms has produced two documentaries and garnered awards for cinematography and editing. Now, he’s setting his sights even higher, working on his first feature-length narrative film.
