The City of Callaway was replacing a fire hydrant that was damaged in a car crash at 615 North Tyndall Parkway. The scheduled water outage had to be expanded to cover additional service connections. The water was restored at 8:00 am Tuesday, April 22, 2025. Customers in the affected area may experience discolored water and/or entrained air for approximately 24 hours after the water has been restored.
Therefore, as a precaution, we advise that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth, or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. As an alternative, bottled water may be used.
This "Precautionary Boil Water Notice" will remain in effect until a bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe to drink. An announcement will be made to rescind the boil water notice at that time.
If you have any questions, you may contact public works at (850) 871-1033.
