Bible Education During School Hours

BAY COUNTY, FL - Bay County parents of public-school students will soon have an option to include Bible/character education for their children. LifeWise Academy, established in over 450 schools and engaging over 30,000 students nationwide, is coming to Bay County.
The statistics are undeniable. LifeWise programs support educators and communities by improving outcomes. LifeWise Academy has been proven to increase student attendance and decrease in-school and out-of-school suspensions, and it is third-party tested.
Bay District Schools (BDS) has given Florida Bay LifeWise the green light to make LifeWise Academy available for high school students with their parents’ permission. Released time religious instruction is already written into the BDS Policy for high school students, allowing them to be taken off grounds for up to one hour a day for religious instruction during school hours.
Florida Bay LifeWise will conduct Bible classes for students of each high school once a week at nearby churches or classroom facilities. Instruction will be biblical and non-denominational, taking students through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.
