Another Pedestrian Killed in Panama City in April

PANAMA CITY, FL - The Panama City Police Department is investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that happened Wednesday morning, April 9, 2025.

At 8:20 a.m., they responded to reports of a collision between a pickup truck and a pedestrian on Michigan Avenue and Highway 98.  Preliminary findings indicate the truck was turning eastbound on Highway 98 from Michigan Avenue when it hit the pedestrian crossing Highway 98.
The pedestrian, 60-year-old Eric James Rodgers of Panama City Beach was taken to Bay Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
This is an active investigation, and police are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the collision.
