"Pink Church on the Beach" Marks 75 Years of Faith and Community Service

by Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL - This year, Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church, lovingly known as "The Pink Church on the Beach," celebrates an extraordinary milestone: 75 years of faith, fellowship, and service to the Panama City Beach community. Since its establishment on May 4, 1950, the church has become a cherished sanctuary for locals and visitors alike, offering worship, community outreach, and cultural enrichment.
Sunday morning worship is held at 9:00 AM, preceded by an Adult Bible Study at 8:00 AM. The church's dedicated prayer ministry meets on Wednesdays to lift up the church and its prayer requests, which can be shared via email at Prayers271@gmail.com .
In addition to its spiritual focus, the church continues to lead impactful community initiatives. Its food pantry, founded in 1978, provides emergency food assistance to Panama City Beach residents in need. This ecumenical effort, supported by local churches and community groups, thrives thanks to generous donations of non-perishable food, which can be brought to the church during operating hours or on Sunday mornings.
Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church is also a hub of fellowship and creativity, offering an evening women’s Bible study, a fellowship walk, and creative fellowship sessions featuring crafting, projects, and artwork. A new venture, BINGO afternoons, brings even more fun and camaraderie to the community. Held every Tuesday from 1:00–3:00 PM in the Family Center, the cost is $6.00, which includes snacks, a drink, and fabulous prizes—perfect for anyone seeking a great time among friends.
Cultural enrichment continues to be a hallmark of the church's outreach. Its annual Church and Arts program celebrated its 33rd year in 2025, and the beloved Concert Series draws attendees with a diverse array of musical performances and artwork from local talent. Proceeds from the series benefit Beach Care Services and other local charities.
The highlight of this milestone year will be a commemorative service on May 4, 2025—exactly 75 years from the day the church first opened its doors. Following the service, members and the community are invited to an open house with cake and coffee, a celebration of faith, history, and shared memories.
As Gulf Beach Presbyterian Church reflects on 75 years of service, it continues to shine as a beacon of faith, compassion, and creativity. Join us in honoring this remarkable journey and looking forward to the vibrant future ahead.
