Rebuild Bay County, Inc. Held Grand Opening Event To Unveil New Transitional Home

PANAMA CITY, FL – On Thursday, May 15, 2025, Rebuild Bay County, Inc., in collaboration with Bay Habitat for Humanity and the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, held a grand opening event in Panama City, Florida, to unveil a newly constructed transitional home. The event, which took place at 900 E. 9th Court at 4 p.m., showcased a vital short-term housing initiative designed to provide up to six months of shelter for individuals and families working toward securing permanent housing or repairing uninhabitable homes.
The grand opening offered attendees an exclusive tour of the living spaces crafted by Bay Habitat for Humanity. Guests learned about the program's application process, eligibility criteria, program fees, and the significant impact of community partnerships in fostering stability and self-sufficiency for residents. The initiative targeted Bay County residents with verified housing needs who could contribute through employment or volunteer service, supporting them as they worked toward long-term housing solutions.
The event highlighted the collaborative efforts of Rebuild Bay County, Inc., Bay Habitat for Humanity, and the Bay County Chamber of Commerce in creating pathways to resilience for community members in need. Attendees gained insight into how the program served as a critical step in rebuilding lives and strengthening the Panama City community.
