Sherman Avenue Upgrades Set To Improve Traffic Flow With New Turn Lanes Starting July 14th

BAY COUNTY, FL — Sherman Avenue, south of 15th Street, will be closed to through traffic from 8 a.m. Monday, July 14, to 4 p.m. Friday, August 8, for a significant resurfacing and widening project. The initiative will improve traffic flow by adding new turn lanes at the 15th Street intersection.
Detour signs will be prominently displayed, and traffic will be rerouted according to the provided detour plan. Motorists are advised to plan alternate routes during the closure period to avoid delays.
The contractor is working closely with nearby businesses and the United States Post Office to minimize disruptions. Fortunately, no events are scheduled at the Bay County Fairgrounds during this time, ensuring smoother coordination for the project.
A healthy Bay County requires great community news.
