Free Backpack And School Supply Giveaways All Around Town

BAY COUNTY, FL - This weekend, Bay County is buzzing with excitement as numerous free backpack and school supply giveaways light up the community! Local churches, community centers, and businesses are spreading joy by handing out backpacks packed with essentials like notebooks, pencils, and folders, ensuring every student is ready to shine in the new school year. These heartwarming events are designed to lift families up and set kids up for success. Check out our list below, local community boards or social media for details on where and when to join in the fun!

July 19th, 20721 Central Avenue East Blountstown
Back to school Resale Event, Panhandle Nutrition, gently used backpacks, lunch boxes, clothes, shoes and more.

July 20th, 5 pm to 7 pm, Living Spirit Community Church, 10734 East Highway 388, Youngstown
Be the Light Back to School Bash. There will be raffles, activities, food and a school supply giveaway.  Open to all students and families.  Come and get ready for the school year with fun, love and light.

July 24th, 4 pm to 5:30 pm, 7923 Panama City Beach Parkway.
Back to School backpack and school supply drive, July 24th, 4 pm to 5:30 pm. Join us for a fantastic summer bash.  Enjoy free food, lawn games, and our backpack drive.  Fun for all ages.  Looking to get involved in extracurriculars?  The Girl Scouts will be there with information on how to join.  We can’t wait to see you.

July 26th, noon to 4 pm, Cottondale Community Center, 2666 Front Street, Cottondale
Saved By the Bell Back to School Drive. Child must be present to receive supplies.  One backpack per child until supplies last.  No holds.  

July 27th, 2 pm to 4 pm, Oakland Terrace Clubhouse
Rip’s Barber Shop and Low Down Kennel present the 4th Annual Back to School Extravaganza, school supplies giveaway, food and drinks.

July 29th, from 3 to 6 pm, Daffin Park
The Boys and Girls Clubs, in conjunction with several other groups, are providing school children in the Millville area with free backpacks and school supplies for the first 500 children.  The child must be present.  There will be free hotdogs and hamburgers available, expertly prepared by the Bay County Sheriff’s Department.  Kiwanis Club has been invited to help give out lots of happiness!  Come One, Come All!

August 1st, 5 pm to 7 pm, Tyndall Oasis Sports Lounge, TAFB
Back to school bash.  Free food, treats, games, bounce house, school supplies while supplies last

August 2nd, noon to 3 pm, Publix Sports Complex, 50 Chip Seal Parkway, Panama City Beach
Students and families of Breakfast Point Academy, Walsingham Academy, Hutchison Beach Elementary, Patronis Elementary and West Bay Elementary are Invited to a Bay County Sheriff’s Office Back to School Party. Free food, snow cones and games. Touch a truck!  Meet the BCSO SWAT Team.  Meet the BCSO Bomb Squad.  Meet the SCSO surf rescue team.

August 3rd, 3 pm to 7 pm, Oakland Terrace Park, 1900 W 11th Street
SAP Day, Back 2 School, free supplies while they last.

August 5th, 4 pm to 7 pm, W.T. Neal Civic Center, 17773 NE Pear Street, Blountstown
Calhoun County Back to School Bash. free school supplies, free food, resources and family fun.  Student must be present.
