BAY COUNTY, FL - Bay District Schools is ensuring access to nutritious meals for students through the National School Lunch and Breakfast Programs for the 2025-2026 school year.
Parents and guardians of students at non-Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) schools, including Breakfast Point Academy, Tyndall Academy, A. Crawford Mosley High School, and J.R. Arnold High School, are encouraged to apply for free or reduced-price meals to secure benefits and support school funding.
Applications can be submitted online at www.myschoolapps.com or by requesting a paper form via email at FSSupport@bay.k12.fl.us or by calling 850-767-1170. Completed paper applications should be sent to Bay District Schools, Department of Food Services, 1311 Balboa Ave, Panama City, FL 32401. Eligibility, based on household size and income, lasts the entire school year, with applications accepted anytime if financial circumstances change. Students without a current application by September 22, 2025, will lose meal benefits.
Households receiving Florida SNAP, TANF, or FDPIR need only provide the child’s name, case number, and an adult’s signature. Foster children automatically qualify, and special cases like migrant, homeless, or runaway students can contact coordinators Lisa Tucker, Luci MacLean, or Loretta Mistrot for assistance. Required application details include household members’ names, school names, gross income, and the last four digits of the signing adult’s Social Security number (or a note if none exists).
For military households, only income available to the family is reported, excluding combat pay and certain allowances. Income calculations vary by payment frequency: weekly (multiply by 52), biweekly (by 26), twice monthly (by 24), or monthly (by 12). Eligibility disputes can be addressed informally with Brenda Parker at 850-767-1170 or formally by writing to the Food Services Department.
The program adheres to USDA non-discrimination policies, ensuring equal access. For questions, email FSSupport@bay.k12.fl.us. Be sure to include your student’s name and school.
