PANAMA CITY, FL – The Golden Warriors, the Sea Cadet unit formerly associated with the North Bay Haven Charter Academy, has found a new home at Florida State University (FSU), The Collegiate School. This unit which serves students aged 10 to 18 has changed campuses to better serve its members.
Commander Perry Williams has led the unit for four years and is excited about the move to FSU Collegiate School campus. He is certain the move will draw more students to the unit. FSU Collegiate School Director, Debbi Whitaker, is extremely supportive of the unit and welcomes the leadership opportunities the Sea Cadet program will bring to her students.
The opportunity to join this unit is open to any student in the area regardless of what school they attend. The unit meets each Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm at the FSUPC main campus. Additionally, they meet one day on the weekend once a month.
The Sea Cadet program offers unique opportunities for leadership, comradery, and community service. The Sea Cadet mission is to build leaders of character.
