A Hidden Gem - Bid-A-Wee Beach
PANAMA CITY BEACH – At the end of Argonaut Drive in Panama City Beach lies a little jewel known as Bid-A-Wee Beach. Although there is a locked gate for use by Bid-A-Wee residents on the boardwalk entrance from Front Beach Road, the public may enter this beach by walking along the shore on either side.
In 1938, Bid-A-Wee Beach was dedicated “forever” to be used for “park purposes only” to owners of property within the Bid-A-Wee Community. You can read more about this at https://bawbp.com/our-story/ .
BAWBP, Inc., is the non-profit organization that preserves this 2,500 feet stretch of beach along the Gulf of Mexico. Membership fees, along with volunteer efforts by the Bid-A-Wee Community, maintain the pristine condition of this beach. The cleanliness of the beach and the health of the sand dunes make this a spectacular beach, and serve as a wonderful example of what a community working together can accomplish.
Where will you be on the next Panama City Beach Clean Up day?
