Timothy Linderman, Candidate for Mexico Beach Council Member Group #5

by Timothy Linderman

MEXICO BEACH, FL - I’m announcing my candidacy for City Mexico Beach Council Member Group #5 and would be honored to serve you in this position. I’m committed to helping bring our community back together, and even if we disagree, hopefully, we can do it respectfully with each other.

There are many major issues facing the community of Mexico Beach which I plan to address in more detail later with my proposed solutions. Hopefully, you’ll provide your input to my thoughts, and we can agree on a way forward.

My wife Jami and I moved to Mexico Beach three (3) years ago after serving in many management and leadership positions in the US Army for 27 years and as a USAF civilian employee for 13 years. No, we didn’t live here before Hurricane Michael but had been planning to settle in Mexico Beach for quite a while, and now consider it our forever home. Shortly after we moved here, I began serving on the Mexico Beach Planning and Zoning Board and conducting free research and grant writing for the City of Mexico Beach.

I’m very familiar with government processes, policies, and budgeting, and I have a BA in Political Science, a Master’s in Public Administration, and a Master’s of Science in Criminal Justice Administration. I believe I have both the proven leadership experience, work and volunteer background, and education to help make a difference as a council member in Mexico Beach and look forward to future discussions with you on how we can make a difference together. Thank you for this opportunity to serve our community.
