Believe it or not, Panama City Beach offers the chance to encounter manatees in their natural habitat! These fascinating marine mammals, also known as “sea cows,” aren’t just a myth in Florida’s panhandle. We occasionally see them on our Flippin’ Awesome Adventures! Manatees are truly captivating creatures. Their slow, graceful movements and docile nature have earned them the nickname “gentle giants.”

Did you know they can grow up to 10 feet long and weigh a staggering 1,200 pounds? Despite their size, manatees are surprisingly playful and social creatures. So be on the lookout for these amazing creatures while you are at the beach, and as always…. Stay Flippin Awesome.
