Lynn Haven Man Arrested for Grand Theft

LYNN HAVEN, FL - The Bay County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest on Friday, June 7, 2024, of a Lynn Haven man for charges relating to the theft of services from a charter airline.
In April and May of 2024, the man booked flights with two different charter aviation companies. In both cases, he would utilize fictitious wire transfers, or provide checks on closed accounts to show payment for the flights. When the company tried to get the payment from him, he would cease contact with the company. In one case he utilized a secondary phone number, and fictitious identity to try to convince the company he was good for the payment, and it was forthcoming.
The man, who was already on probation for the theft of funds from local banking institutions, was booked into the Bay County Jail on Friday for two counts of Grand Theft in Excess of $20,000. Based on these new charges, his probation was revoked, and he was held without bond by a judge on Saturday.
