Local Spotlight: Sons of Saints

PANAMA CITY, FL - The local music scene is set for electrification this July 4[th] as the Sons of Saints prepare to take the stage. The cover band, fronted by Mason St. Germain will perform at Destination Panama City near the historic Martin Theater. Performing at 6pm, the band promises a night filled with high-energy rock classics, and a foggy morning after if you do it right.

Primarily paying homage to Van Halen, Mason, the charismatic lead singer of Sons of Saints has a rich musical history. Singing since he was young, entertainment became his passion quickly. He began taking on cruise ship gigs until the pandemic halted live performances in 2020. Mason was a regular on the cruise ship circuit meeting many talented musicians along the way. Born with a passion for Rock and Roll, Mason sharpened his skills at the University of West Florida where he studied music production.

Drawing inspiration from the band Turnstyle, Sons of Saints attempts to emulate their stage presence, capturing the aura of Rock and Roll with their own unique twist. Mason brings an infectious energy to each performance. He met Drew Herring, their guitarist through a previous band called Sound Arcade, and they clicked instantly. Their strong friendship eventually led to the success of Sons of Saints.

The band has quickly garnered a reputation for riveting performances. With Mason's voice leading the charge, Mike Thomson on the bass, Mo Dee rocking the drums, and Drew Herring shredding the guitar, the bands focus on covering Van Halen allows them to channel the raw, unfiltered spirit of Rock and Roll into each of their performances resonating with all ages. Their sets are a thrilling blend of nostalgia and high energy rock, creating an atmosphere that keeps fans coming back for more.
