Fountain Fire Ends Quickly

On a hot dry Friday afternoon on June 14th, the small community of Fountain experienced an unexpected disruption. Deputies evacuated six homes along the 9700 block of Western Road, demonstrating an abundance of caution in response to 8 acre brush fire. The affected area lies roughly four miles north of Highway 20 and three miles west of 231.

At 4:18pm the Bay County, Florida Emergency Services posted on Facebook the Fountain fire on Western Road was 100-percent contained and the homeowners evacuated may return to their residences.
