Panama City Beach Addresses Beach Safety Concerns in Special Workshop
PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL - The City Council of Panama City Beach will hold a special workshop on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 4:00 PM, to address the growing concerns regarding beach safety. The meeting will feature a workshop on the Beach Flag System, led by Chief Ray Morgan, and will focus on discussing and taking action on the issue of rip tides, which have caused numerous fatalities in the area.
In 2023, 12 deaths occurred in Panama City Beach due to rip tides, and so far in 2024, four more deaths have been reported.
During the workshop, Chief Ray Morgan will present the Beach Flag System, followed by a discussion about beach safety.
The public is invited to attend this important meeting.
