Arrest of Two Bay County Residents for Aggravated Neglect of a Child and Drug Possession
PANAMA CITY, FL – At about 5:40 on June 26, 2024, the Bay County Sheriff’s Office was called to Gulf Coast Medical Center for an unresponsive two-year-old child, after medical testing revealed the child ingested Methamphetamine. The Criminal Investigations Division was contacted and responded to begin the investigation.
A search warrant was served on the Bayou George residence where the child lives, yielding a small quantity of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Interviews were also conducted with the caretakers of the child. As a result of the investigation, Daniella Hill, age 34, and Michael Garner, age 40, were both taken into custody and charged with Aggravated Neglect of a Child. Garner was also charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Related Paraphernalia.
