Community Wide Meetings on Neighborhood Improvements

GLENWOOD, MILLVILLE, ST ANDREWS - The City of Panama City is currently taking an important step in the implementation of the Neighborhood Plans for Glenwood, Millville, and St. Andrews - Map Adoption. This process began with a Community-Wide Meeting held on July 15th and will continue with individual Neighborhood Meetings scheduled for August 5th and 6th. These meetings are to solidify the proposed maps, ensuring that the adopted zoning text is applied to the neighborhoods as intended.

The City of Panama City is grateful for the time and input provided by community members during the Strategic Visioning for Downtown and the Neighborhood Plans of Glenwood, Millville, and St. Andrews.

The Neighborhood Plans have laid the groundwork for complete neighborhoods, great streets, and resilient open spaces and infrastructure. However, the realization of this vision requires ongoing community participation. By attending the upcoming Neighborhood Meetings, residents can ensure that their voices are heard and contribute to the development of their neighborhoods.

The adoption of these maps is a significant step in the implementation process, as it will guide the zoning text that will be applied to the neighborhoods. Zoning is essential for the orderly development and growth of a community, as it regulates the use of land and the types of buildings that can be constructed within a specific area.

The Map Adoption process is an essential step in the implementation of the Neighborhood Plans for Glenwood, Millville, and St. Andrews. The City of Panama City extends its gratitude to the community for their ongoing support and encourages residents to attend the upcoming Neighborhood Meetings to contribute to the development of their neighborhoods.
