Arrested for Trafficking Fentanyl and Methamphetamine

PANAMA CITY, FL – On July 2, 2024, the Bay County Sheriff's Office's Special Investigations Division served a search warrant at a hotel at 5126 W. Highway 98. Information had been developed by investigators that illegal narcotics activity was going on in the room at the hotel.

During the search of the hotel room, Jeremy Castiel Burnette, age 34, of Enterprise, Alabama, was found to be in possession of trafficking amounts of fentanyl and methamphetamine. Burnette, a convicted felon, was also found to be in possession of a pistol.

Burnette was arrested for the offenses of Trafficking Fentanyl (more than 4 grams but less than 14 grams), Trafficking in Methamphetamine (more than 28 grams but less than 200 grams), Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
