Exciting Upcoming Sports Events in Panama City

PANAMA CITY, FL – Get ready for an action-packed fall and winter with a series of exciting sports events in Panama City! From adaptive baseball to kickball, flag football, and competitive softball, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s a rundown of what’s coming up:

The Little League Challenger Program offers adaptive baseball for individuals with physical and intellectual challenges. The program accommodates players aged 4-18, or up to age 22 if still enrolled in school. For those aged 15 and above, the Senior League Challenger Division is available with no maximum age limit.

Kickball enthusiasts can look forward to a 10-week season that’s perfect for reconnecting with friends and meeting new ones. Individual registration is $35, while team entry is $300. Registration ends on September 27, so sign up soon! First-place teams will receive Championship Rings. Games will be held at Oakland Terrace Sports Complex starting the week of October 7, with one-hour game sessions. 

Flag football season is around the corner with registration at $40 per player. Coaches can enjoy free player registration. The league features one-hour games and practices, with two practices per week or one practice and one game per week. Games and practices will take place at Frank Nelson Sports Complex on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and optional Fridays from 6-9 PM. The league will only feature Panama City teams, focusing on recreation and player development. The Coach Meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 7 at 6 PM. 

Mark your calendars for the Modified Softball Tournament on November 23-24, 2024. With a $5,000 grand prize for the first place team and championship rings, this round-robin tournament is sure to be a hit. Entry is $800 per team, with a minimum of 20 teams. The tournament will be held at Oakland Terrace Sports Complex, and each team is guaranteed three games. A mercy rule will apply, ending contests after a team is behind by 15 runs following their fifth at bat. 

The Holiday Bowl is set for December 27-28, 2024, at Frank Nelson Sports Complex. Entry is $250 per team, with a discounted rate of $200 per team for three or more teams. The tournament features a double elimination format with championship rings awarded to the first-place team in each age division. The maximum number of teams is 30, with additional teams placed on a waiting list. The divisions include 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U, each with varying quarter lengths.
