Panama City Ballet's "The Nutcracker" Returns for an Enchanting Holiday Tradition with Live Orchestra and All-Local Talent
PANAMA CITY, FL - The Panama City Ballet, for the second year in a row, will be performing The Nutcracker at Helen Blackburn Arnold Auditorium on December 13, 14 and 15. Tiffany Swan, the director, has once again put together all local talent to make this a spectacular community event. This year, there will be four live performances for the public to attend. Also, this year's production will feature live orchestra music performed by Camarata South. This is truly the event to see this holiday season.
Sonya Livingston Smith, a former Radio City Rockette, is assisting Tiffany Swan as Artistic Coordinator. Their goal is to make this an annual holiday tradition for all families in our community. Tiffany says βItβs going to be bigger and better every year!β Much of the talent from last year's production, such as Stacy Graham performing as the Sugar Plum Fairy, has returned to make this year's dance and choreography even better. Sonya remarked that the seasoned dancers bring a greater professional level to this year's production.
Once again, the show is flush with spectacular costumes and backgrounds. Arnold Auditorium is the only venue in our local area right now with the Fly System that allows for the multiple background drops that help bring the story alive for the audience.
