• Impacts: Wind chills could plummet as low as 21°F (-6°C), leading to an increased risk of hypothermia for anyone exposed to the cold for extended periods.

Freeze Warning:

• Timing: From 1:00 AM EST (midnight CST) Tuesday, January 7, 2025, through 9:00 AM EST (8:00 AM CST) Tuesday morning.

• Impacts: Temperatures are expected to dip to as low as 30°F (-1°C) in some areas, posing a significant risk to sensitive vegetation, crops, and outdoor plumbing. Frost is also likely, which could cause damage to unprotected plants and gardens.

Protect Yourself and Loved Ones and Pets:

• Dress warmly: Layers, hats, and gloves are highly recommended when venturing outside.

• Watch for hypothermia: Avoid prolonged exposure to the cold, and check on elderly family members, neighbors, and those who may be more vulnerable to the harsh temperatures.
