Team Rubicon Mobilizes Veterans to Aid Bay County - Female Army Veteran Leads Operation

BAY COUNTY, FL - Veteran-led nonprofit Team Rubicon has mobilized its volunteers to Bay County, Florida, in a mission to aid the community in recovery efforts the January 2024 storms. From March 22 through March 24th, these dedicated individuals were on the ground, actively engaging in chainsaw operations to clear vegetative debris and remove damaged trees. Their primary objective: to enhance safety conditions around the Bay County Emergency Operations Center (EOC), ensuring smoother and more efficient operations during emergencies.

One notable highlight of this operation is the leadership of female Army veteran Kori "Dok" Brown. As the team leader for this endeavor, Brown embodies the spirit of Women's History Month, demonstrating resilience, skill, and dedication in her role.
