Bay County Groups Rally for Constitutional Education and Advocacy

BAY COUNTY, FL – A new educational initiative titled "The Constitution Is the Solution!" begins on January 4th, 2025, at 2 p.m., at the Bay County Republican Headquarters 1607 Lisenby Suite C Panama City, Florida 32405;  providing an opportunity for Bay County residents to learn about the U.S. Constitution and its importance in preserving individual rights.
The six-session program starts with the first video, "The Dangers of Democracy," followed by a discussion and activities. The schedule for subsequent sessions is as follows:

  • January 11th: "Enumerated vs. Unlimited Power"

  • January 18th: "Constitutional Economics, Constitutional Money"

  • February 8th: "Constitutional War Powers and the Enemy Within"

  • February 15th: "Exposing the Enemies of Freedom"

  • March 15th: "Restoring the Constitution and Taking Effective Actions"

Participants who complete the series will receive certificates of completion. Due to material costs, attendance is limited to 20 people. Those interested are encouraged to reserve a spot by emailing sunnyreid@protonmail.com. Donations are welcomed to support the program hosted by the Bay County John Birch Society. 
On February 20th, the Republican Liberty Caucus of Bay County (RLC Bay) will host a Restore the Republic event featuring prominent speakers, including:

  • Bob White, RLC Florida Chairman and candidate for Florida House District 32
  • Bill Mitchell, Florida Director of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association/Foundation for Freedom
  • A Second Amendment advocate
These events build towards Legislative Days on March 11th and 12th in Tallahassee. During this event, attendees can use their newfound knowledge to advocate for constitutional principles and engage with state lawmakers.
Bay County groups such as RLC Bay, the Bay County John Birch Society (JBS), and other local organizations are collaborating with the Bay County Sheriff, the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association/Foundation for Freedom, and a County Commissioner to propose a Constitutional Sanctuary Ordinance. This ordinance seeks to restrict federal overreach and uphold citizens’ rights as enumerated in the Bill of Rights.
