October 16 @ 9:00AM – Coffee with Commissioners. Lynn Haven City Commissioners will hold an open discussion forum in the Chamber to discuss city-related topics in a friendly, casual environment. Coffee and light refreshments will be provided.

October 17 @ 9:00 AM – Trivia Day. Tune in to the City of Lynn Haven’s Facebook page from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and be the first to correctly answer trivia questions in the comment section for a chance to win a prize. Questions will be posted every hour.

October 19 @ 3:30 PM – Art Showcase Reception. Select artwork of local student’s dream city hall will be displayed in the Senior Activity Club. A recognition ceremony will be held at 5:00 PM.

October 20 @ 9:30 AM – Fire Safety & Prevention Day. Lynn Haven firefighters will demonstrate fire prevention and safety at Fire Station #2 to Lynn Haven Elementary students.

The City of Lynn Haven is excited to join cities throughout the state in celebrating Florida City Government Week during October 16-22. Sponsored by the Florida League of Cities, Florida City Government Week is a week-long celebration that raises awareness about the importance of municipal government and its daily impact on residents. Because city government is the government closest to most citizens, it is important that residents understand how their city operates, the services it provides, and the importance of their active involvement.

Each day, the community is invited to participate in the various government-related activities planned throughout the week. Join the City of Lynn Haven as we celebrate Florida City Government Week on October 16th.

Lynn Haven’s City Manager Vickie Gainer states, “Florida City Government Week allows our residents the opportunity to learn more about the many services the city provides, which leads to more knowledgeable citizen participation in the future. We are excited about this year’s activities and hope to engage the community in our upcoming events.”
