A. Crawford Mosley High School's "Sound of the Southland" Marching Band Takes London by Storm in Spectacular New Year's Day Parade

LYNN HAVEN, FL to LONDON, ENGLAND - The talented musicians of the A. Crawford Mosley High School "Sound of the Southland" Marching Band recently made headlines as they brought their dynamic performance to the streets of historic London in the 37th London New Year's Day Parade.

A group of 85 band members and dedicated chaperones embarked on a memorable 6-day journey, exploring iconic landmarks and showcasing their musical prowess in various venues throughout the city. The itinerary included visits to cultural gems such as Windsor Castle, the University of Oxford, Tower of London, Westminster, and attending captivating shows in London's renowned West End.

Band director, Douglas Dobos, expressed his enthusiasm about the trip, stating, "The highlight of the trip was the Mosley Symphony Band's performance at a gala concert in St. John's Waterloo. The band played to a captivated audience in a full house, leaving a lasting impression with their exceptional musical talent."

This London adventure marked the second international trip for the "Sound of the Southland" Marching Band, the first being in 2010. The return to London was met with excitement and anticipation, and the band surpassed all expectations, making Mosley High School and the local community proud.
